Headway
South Bedfordshire’s main aims and objectives:
- To provide professional care, support, information and advice to people, primarily aged 16-64, with an acquired brain injury, their families and/or carers.
- To meet clients’ individual needs to enable them to live as independently as possible, increasing self-value and social inclusion within their own community.
- To provide healthy, safe and stimulatory Centre and Community based activities, enabling clients to improve on or acquire new personal skills that will maximise their self-potential, helping them to move forward.
- To provide the general public with advice and information regarding acquired brain injury and to raise awareness of its causes and effects, leading to a greater understanding of the disability.
- To advocate and lobby for the development of appropriate professional services for people with an acquired brain injury, their families and/or carers.
