Although we are part funded by local statutory agencies, the ever increasing costs of providing a healthy and safe environment at the Centre, employing professional staff, and increasing our numbers of volunteers mean that we have to constantly generate and increase essential income through fund raising events, kind donations and Gift Aid.

If you wish to help support our work we would naturally be very grateful to receive any size donation and all will go directly to the care and support of our clients living throughout South Bedfordshire.

Donations may be open or anonymous by request, but all will receive a letter of confirmation and our gratitude. Please write cheque payable to Headway South Beds and post to our address. If you are a taxpayer (employed or retired) and declare your donation, we get an extra 28p for every £1 from the Inland Revenue under the Gift Aid scheme. Some people may have the opportunity to donate on a monthly basis via their salary. Your workplace may be able to help you with this. Just £5 a month could provide volunteer expenses to make a big difference and improvement to a client's life enabling them to find employment, improve their skills or to become socially included within their local community. On occasion some people, especially those who have benefited from our support, have left a small legacy in their will as a gift of appreciation. Through consultation with the family we will endeavour to make this gift a lasting memorial to the person while maximising its use to current and new clients.

Brain Injury Awareness Week - March/April (to be announced)

A week of raising awareness of acquired brain injury throughout the community. Headway will hold presentations at a variety of settings and hold collections in a major store (subject to availability).

Silver Service Dinner & Dance, Riverside Suite, Luton - Friday November 11th

Without doubt, this is the most entertaining and exciting evening event of the year. Superb three course meal with dancing to the premier local band 'Intuition'. Also luxury prizes to auction and raffle. Due to its popularity, ticket sales are limited and only available in advance throughout September and October. Ticket cost £35 incl.
